Offer made does not appear in "Bids & Offers".

Hi,

I made an offer for an item. I received a message from eBay regarding this in "Messages", but this offer does not appear in "Bids & Offers" (already checked history and hidden for both) on my eBay account?

If I look in "Make Best Offer" and then in "Review Offer" in the listing for the item, then I can see that I have made an offer for this item.

What has gone wrong with eBay?

I can only guess, as I cannot see what you have done, but offers are invalid if a bid has been placed or if a BIN item has been bought.
