Cancellation of order

Hi I just cancelled an order as I didn’t feel comfortable that the buyer asked twice to collect and it made me very unsure. There was no option for that kind of cancellation so I had to say the item was broken. Is this ok? I don’t normally do this but I was really unsure what to do and didn’t feel happy that he kept emailing me?  I don’t want it to affect my rating and now I’m panicking
