Help more buyers find the right part with Fitment Plus Auto

Help more buyers find the right part with Fitment Plus Auto

If you sell automotive Parts & Accessories, accurate vehicle compatibility information can help buyers find relevant listings and purchase with greater confidence. However, researching and maintaining fitment data across your inventory can take significant time and effort.Fitment Plus Auto (FPA) is designed to make that process easier. It automatically adds or updates compatible vehicle information on eligible listings, helping improve listing visibility while reducing the need to manage fitment data manually. What is Fitment Plus Auto?Fitment Plus Auto is an eBay feature that uses catalogue and marketplace data to enhance vehicle compatibility information on eligible Parts & Accessories listings. When your listing includes the correct brand and manufacturer part number (MPN), FPA can match the part with compatible vehicles and add the relevant fitment information to your listing. This supports eBay’s broader goal of improving the quality and coverage of compatibility data across the marketplace. How does it work?Starting 15 September, eligible sellers in fitment-enabled Parts & Accessories categories will be automatically enrolled in Fitment Plus Auto.FPA regularly reviews eligible listings and will:Add compatible vehicle information when a listing does not include any fitment data.Complete and update compatibility information when a listing includes some fitment data but is missing details.Continuously refresh fitment information as new or more accurate data becomes available in FPA.You do not need to create a new listing or manually apply the additional fitment information. What are the benefits?Reach more relevant buyersVehicle compatibility information helps your listings appear when buyers search for parts that fit their vehicle. More complete fitment coverage can help improve your listings’ visibility and sales potential.Help buyers purchase with confidenceClear compatible vehicle information makes it easier for buyers to understand whether a part is right for their vehicle, reducing uncertainty during the purchase journey.Spend less time managing fitmentFPA automatically adds and maintains fitment data, reducing the time and effort required to research and update compatibility information across your listings. What do I need to do?To give your eligible listings the best opportunity to receive fitment enhancements, make sure they include:• The correct product brand• The manufacturer part number, also known as the MPNThese details allow FPA to identify the part and match it with the appropriate compatible vehicles. Without an accurate brand and MPN, FPA may not be able to enhance the listing.Managing your Fitment Plus Auto settings  (opting out or opting back in)Eligible sellers will be enrolled automatically, so you do not need to take any action to start benefiting from FPA.You can manage your participation through your Motors Selling Preferences. If you opt out, fitment information previously added by FPA will be removed from your listings. You can opt back in later to make eligible listings available for enhancement again. To learn more about how Fitment Plus Auto works and manage your settings, visit the Fitment Plus Auto Seller Centre page.Thank you for selling on eBay.
