The latest updates and reasons to celebrate
As we’re halfway through July, I want to take a moment to highlight a few key updates shaped by your feedback, particularly around the Buyer Protection fee, getting paid and selling tools.
For private sellers, we’re introducing updates to Buyer Protection this month, to make your lower-priced items more attractive to buyers, and help you get paid faster. You’ll also see other improvements, for example, a new home collection service with Simple Delivery, at no extra cost.
Business sellers will notice a few updates, designed to help bring you even more efficiency. The new Offers control centre in Seller Hub brings all your offer activity into one place, with added filters, insights and tools to help you make faster and more informed decisions.
There’s also more reasons to celebrate, with the finalists for this year’s eBay for Business Awards now live. It’s the perfect time to celebrate the creativity and drive that runs through our seller community and cast your vote if you see a story that resonates.
As always, thank you for shopping and selling on eBay.

Get paid faster, a lower Buyer Protection fee & more
Since launching Buyer Protection earlier this year, we’ve been actively listening to your feedback on how we can enhance the programme to improve the experience for both our buyers and sellers. That’s why we’re making two key changes to better support your sales.
Starting today, we’ve reduced the fixed portion of the Buyer Protection fee from £0.75 to just £0.10. You’ll notice the greatest impact on items priced £10 or less, which means your lower-priced items will now be even more appealing to buyers. To make pricing easier, we’ll soon be introducing a new live calculator, where you can enter a price and see the Buyer Protection fee in real-time, so you’ll know exactly what your buyers will pay. When making or reviewing offers, you’ll also be able to see the fee split out from the total item price.
Buyer Protection helps maintain a safe marketplace. It covers secure transactions, 24/7 customer support, fraud detection, monitoring for unusual activity and taking action to keep you protected. Every purchase is backed by these protections, giving buyers the confidence to browse and shop.
By lowering the flat fee, we're making these benefits more accessible for lower-value items, helping you attract more buyers without compromising on trust.
Learn more about the fee
From 6 August, we’re also making it easier and faster for our more experienced sellers to receive their funds. This means you can get your funds within 24 hours of the buyer paying. To qualify for faster payment, all you’ll need to do is:
- Complete at least 10 sales with a total of £150 or more within the last 5 years
- Maintain 2 or fewer cases in the last 12 months
For those who haven’t yet met the criteria, you’ll be able to track your progress towards this in the Payments tab from 6 Aug. We’ll notify you through the eBay app as soon as you qualify. There may be some cases where funds are held for compliance reasons. You can learn more about this on our Help page.
These updates are designed to help you increase sales, sell with confidence and get paid faster, all whilst continuing to protect you and your buyers.
Home collections with Simple Delivery

We’re excited to share that you can now book a Royal Mail home collection directly on eBay, at no extra cost. Once booked, the courier will automatically bring your prepaid label when they come to pick up your item, no printer required.
Don’t forget, if you have a preference between Royal Mail and Evri, you can set your preferred courier in your Postage Preferences.
Introducing Authenticity Guarantee for designer clothing

Men’s and women’s clothing priced at £200 or more are now eligible for expert verification through Authenticity Guarantee. This is a powerful way to show buyers they can shop with confidence.
From sneakers to everyday style, you’ll be able to take advantage of the programme for selected clothing brands in a new or pre-owned condition sold on eBay.co.uk. Whether they’re listed as Fixed price or Auction, just look for the blue tick.
Eligible brands include Dior, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and more. Head to our fashion page to check out the full list.
Managing offers is easier with our new Offers control centre
To give you a clearer view of how your offers are performing, we’ve launched a new Offers control centre in Seller Hub. You’ll now see everything in one place, whether you’re sending Offers to Buyers or managing Best Offers from buyers. This means it’s easier for you to manage offers and make informed decisions.
Here’s what’s new:
All offers in one place
You’ll see all of your active Offers to Buyers and Best Offers for active listings in one place, making it easier to stay on top of your real-time offer activity.
Quick decisions made simple
A ‘Review’ button will appear next to every offer, where you can accept or reject offers directly from the control centre, helping you manage deals faster and more efficiently.
Advanced sorting capabilities
Offers that need your attention will automatically appear at the top. You can also sort your offers by recent activity, automation status or creation date to help you focus on the listings that matter most.
Performance insights
You’ll have an overview of how your offers are performing, with metrics like gross sales, number of offers sent and received, and your overall acceptance rate.
Listing-level breakdowns
Delve deeper into individual items to view offer volume, offers accepted and how many sales were made via offers, including Offers to Buyers. This will give you a better understanding of what's working.
Smart filters
You can use filters to highlight items that need your attention, or sort by high and low offer acceptance rates to spot new opportunities.
