My wife's ebay account was permanently suspended after she listed an item she wanted to sell on her ebay account, reasons for the suspension wasn't given, the email only said the your account has been permanently suspended because of the activity we believe was putting ebay community at risk. However, the account was just a new account that hasn't done any activities, it was blocked about an hour after listing the first item ever.

Please does anybody understand what could be the reason for suspension and also is there anything she can do to reinstate, as she want to continue selling with her ebay account.

One possibility is the interaction between two accounts which is strictly forbidden.   If ebay allow an appeal the link will be on the email but there is not usually an appeal for a permanent suspension.

Thank you so much for your prompt response. This may probably be the case. I think she's mistakenly used my phone number while opening hers at first as our phone numbers are almost the same but just the last digit are is different. There's no link for appeal in ebay's email. So does that mean she won't be able to have an ebay account again? Many thanks.

eBay are usually quite implacable when it comes to permanent suspensions but it's worth a try.   Contact ebay in the morning and see what they say.   You can request a callback on here:

Best of luck.
