price shown is not what I set

I priced my freezer at  £480  

But the live listing shows it at £592.32.

When I click MAKE AN OFFER (on another pc) this is revealed to be 496.32 + 96 VAT.

I suspect 16.32 is buyer protection. I guess I can work that out. But where did the VAT come from? And how can I get rid of it?

I don't want to charge VAT. I am a private seller.

What should I do??

You need to raise this with ebay customer services. 

You are right, it's VAT and it shouldn't be added.
