Returning an item that is being posted back

I bought a seatpost but it didn't fit and was too big, so still brand new. Raised a return and posted it back to the seller only they either weren't in or didn't collect it so now it's being returned back to me, where do I stand with this?

As long as tracking shows attempted delivery, escalate case to ebay, 

They will sort refund.
