Also had email about an unsafe heavy duty telescopic ladder.  Have contacted seller on several occasions, who doesn't respond! Today had on line chat with eBay agent whose final advice was to contact Citizens Advice about a refund.  Why can't the seller claim compensation from the supplier and in turn, issue a refund?  item number is 393150216925

A good seller would but ebay only allow 30 days to enforce refunds so nothing they can do.   You could try contacting your payment provider about a refund.
