Hello,
I’ve recently had to request a refund which was accepted, I was sent a returns label and went to post office to send item back only to be told I need to arrange for it to be picked up amd I need to pay for it 😕
I contacted the seller who then told me to cancel collection and get refund back from post office and they’ll arrange pick up instead.
the item was picked up with a new label on but now eBay is asking me to send the item back as I don’t think they have the new return delivery method:/ what do I do?
I have tried to contact eBay but got no where
will I still het my refund? Will the seller make eBay aware that I’ve returned the item and I’ll then receive my refund?
thanks in advance

Nope, your refund will not be honoured if tracking hasn't shown delivery back for the return item, and the seller I can assure you will not be getting in touch with CS, to forward the changes.
Contact eBay Customer Services first thing tomorrow morning when the lines first open at 8 a.m. as there's more chance of Dublin answering. Explain what has happened, and can they add the new tracking number to the case details ,as they have now been changed. I'm presuming the relevant case has been opened?
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays
9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.
Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.
I do recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

eBay will go by the original tracking number so you're relying on the seller being honest and issuing the refund. If they do not and if the original postage is still viable use it to send something/anything to the seller to get the tracking showing the return has been delivered. Keep to the deadline which is 30 days.
