Won bid list item

Can someone please explain what has gone wrong? I received an email from eBay earlier this afternoon advising that I had won my bid on an item and to make payment. When I tried to do so, I was advised that the item was no longer available. I don’t understand what has happened

Won bid list item

Check if the item is still in your Purchase History, perhaps use a PC / laptop with Chrome that combination seems the most reliable.

Check also My eBay >> Bids / Offers  see if that gives you any clue.

If it is not in your Purchase History,  the seller may have cancelled the order?

It's bad selling but no one can force a seller to send out their item.  Did it perhaps reach a very low price?  Again the seller's fault  here for not setting the starting price to one they wished to achieve.

If you receive a cancellation message you can if you wish contact Customer Services explain you did not authorise this cancellation and they may place a damaging defect on the seller's account.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
