Hi everyone,
I've been selling small goods on eBay for over two years now, and over time I’ve developed a good understanding of how things work. Typically, I sell 15+ items a day, with at least 50% of those being organic sales — no issues until recently.
Something changed drastically around June 23rd. Since then, I’ve had only 1–2 organic sales total — which is extremely unusual for my store. This has never happened before.
I run only general promotions and currently have 5 campaigns active, with the highest ad rate being just 9%. I’ll upload some graphs to help illustrate what’s been happening.
I haven’t noticed any real increase in overall sales to make up for the drop in organic ones. Now, every single order is charged with a promoted fee, which makes things even more confusing — and apparently confusing to eBay customer service as well. I’ve contacted them three times now and haven’t received any clear answers.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?

It isn't up to eBay - or us - to explain the reduction in demand for your core products. You haven't even told us what they are, so how can we suggest the reasons?
Why not add a bit more information to your question, and try posting it on the sellers board? That's the best way to possibly hear from other sellers who might be experiencing the same problem.

Thanks for your reply. I probably should’ve included more detail — the products I sell are small collectible goods: keychains, hair ties, some jewelry, and baby bibs. I have around 140 active listings.
While I understand that fluctuations in demand can happen, this doesn’t seem like a typical market shift. What’s puzzling is that my organic impressions and total views have remained fairly consistent — even the number of daily sales hasn’t changed drastically. But what has changed is that since June 23rd, the percentage of organic sales dropped from around 80% to 0%. Every single order since then has been charged a promoted fee.
That kind of shift — with no major listing or pricing changes — seems odd, and it doesn’t look like a natural decline in buyer interest. I’ll take your suggestion and post this on the sellers board as well. Hopefully others might have noticed similar trends.
I strongly believe the graphs say more that every information I can give you.
