Can't submit my Counterfeit item appeal

Hello E-bay community,

I need advice/help.

I've listed a new, sealed Bloom Mandarin and Lime Basil Eau De Toilette 50 ml spray and E-bay - purchased from Superdrug a few months back.

To my utmost surprise I've got a counterfreit item removed from listing email from E-bay with a first time warning. At the end of the e-mail in blue is an appeal button. I've stated there that this item (Bloom fragnance) is part of a Superdrug range and freely available online or in shops. Also after a quick check on E-bay other sellers (some opened/used) are still offering the same scent.

My pictures were clear from the box - each side, so anyone can see/read this scent is from Superdrug. In my description I just stated the name and the fact that it is a new item.

Unfortunately  I can't send it off the appeal, just goes back to the original email.

Any idea/advice how I can contact E-bay to ask for the counterfeit status to be reversed since my listed item is freely available in the shop and surely not a "copy" scent.

This is my first (and fingers crossed last) counterfeit case. It is disturbing to see red lines/warning on my E-bay pages.

Thank you in advance

It will be the best reason the bots come up with, the real reason would be the Brand Owner has asked for it to be removed. Go to bottom of page and read about VERO.

The only thing unfair is the way that message is written.  The claim the item is 'not authentic'  is not explaining the true issue here.

High brand items are protected by Vero Regulations and policies.  It was the brand owner, not eBay who asked for the removal of your item.

There are so many fakes of high brand items and impossible to check authenticty for online items,  even receipts can be faked, I know, my work took me to the Far East for decades , and fake receipts  made there, are impossible to tell from the real deal.

You may well see identical items listed,  the site is massive over 7 billion + listings on at any one time, so not possible to check every listing, and some slip the net and become listed.

Your item has been reported do not relist it,  you would face serious selling restrictions.

As John has said,  you can read about Vero's policies from a link at the bottom of most eBay pages.
