Hi
I had a breitling watch for sales that someone has just bought. No offers, just committed to buy straight away which has made me nervous its a scammer. This was a few minutes ago. It says i need to send it to the authenticator. I am worried i am going to be scammed as the watch value is £1500. Any advice?

If you offer an item for sale with a BUY IT NOW, it means what it says. Buyer does not have to do anything except buy and pay. However you chose to sell on ebay, you now have to honour the sale, or risk damage to your selling account.
Does not mean he is a scammer, but selling high value items on ebay does bring them out, and is risky.

you put the watch on eBay for sale, a buyer purchased it and paid for it, that's the usual process on eBay, so what have you got to make you think the buyer is possibly a scammer?

I can't see how a buyer can scam you if the watch is going to the authenticator first.
They can't claim that it's not as described once it's been authenticated.

Authentication protects you as well as the buyer.
If they claim they have not received the item, Ebay will deal with it, you just need proof of delivery to the authenticator.
If they open an 'item not as described' case, they have to return the watch to the authenticator who will check everything is as it should be.
So, you cannot become the victim of an 'empty box' scam or similar.
