Simple Delivery - eBay have just stolen £7.27 from me

Item ID: 146686872743

Sold within the last hour. I have no opt-out of "simple delivery". Once the buyer paid for the item "simple delivery" automatically deducted £7.27 Royal Mail postage that only covers for up to £150 insurance. My item was sold for over £400 so I said in the listing it will be posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm which is an an £18.35 service. I can't upgrade the postage eBay took from me & honour my listings. Therefore it will effectively cost me £25.62 to send! How do I claim back £7.27 from eBay?

I won't be listing again until eBay sort this mess out.

If "simple delivery" is to stay, I/we want an opt-out option. My first listing using this service even "recommended" the wrong postage option.

Simple Delivery - eBay have just stolen £7.27 from me

eBay Simple Delivery has compensation up to £750 not £150

If you want to send via RM Special Delivery instead you can arrange that yourself but will need to add your tracking number, you may be able to do this from your order if not contact customer services to see if they can change it for you.

As your item had free postage you can claim a refund for the unused label here https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller but a claim must be made within 14 days of sale.

Arranging myself was the intention but the system has gone backwards & taken further power from sellers like we are untrusted, incapable. I certainly didn't expect eBay to take a random sum for postage from the sale. It's not openly clear anywhere that compensation is to £750 & of course, simple delivery has no before 1pm next day delivery. It's unnecessary tinkering of the system. Thanks for the link which someone DMd me yesterday. Claim in.
