Seller keeps half your money after return

EBay said I was getting a full refund but seller only sent half the money back

Did seller refund outside the return case? If so escalate the case to ebay!
Only business sellers can in some cases refund less than full amount THROUGH A RETURN CASE.

A business seller may make a 50% deduction, but if the item was faulty they should refund in full.

Contact eBay and ask them what happened there. I’ve found that the easiest route to contact eBay Customer Services is via the link below where you can request a call back:

If no joy, you may have to issue a not as described chargeback via your card provider if you paid with a debit or credit card.
