When do Ebay charge for simple postage, even when not requested. If charged but not used, when do they refund.

Simple Delivery is now mandatory for almost all items listed for sale by private sellers.

Unused labels can be refunded.

If the buyer paid, they will be refunded after about 30 days if the label is not used.

If you offered free postage and so you were charged for the Simple Delivery label, you have to apply for a refund.

Everything about SD can be found here.

This is how to apply for a refund if you offered freepost and so paid for SD.

If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling
