"This charity ID can´t be used for a cross border listing"

Trying to list a number of items on eBay.co.uk and add a UK charity as a beneficiary for part of the proceeds of the same but each time I receive the following error message "This charity ID can´t be used for a cross border listing". Have tried everything I can think of to correct this error but without success and, as usual, there is no apparent way of actually reaching out to eBay for support - their chatbots have driven me crazy! I have looked online and it would appear that this is a common problem but I cannot find anyone who has actually solved the issue!

Have you checked that the charity is on ebay’s list?

If it is you can select it, if it is not you cannot select it. The rubbish from the bots. tends to imply that the charity is not on ebay’s list so you will have to sell and donate direct to the charity.

Yep - selected the charities from the drop down list offered by eBay!
