Wifi dongle failed after 6 weeks - seller is ignoring me

I bought a wifi dongle (Order number:16-12862-18018) which failed after only 6 weeks.

This is outside the automatic Ebay return period so I cannot kick off a return, but the seller is ignoring my messages.

Is there anything else I can do?  A bit if tech like this should not fail in such a short time.

If you funded the payment with a debit or credit card get in touch with your card provider, you should be able to issue a not as described chargeback. You may need to provide some kind of expert report that it's not working though.

Hi,

It cost less than 7 quid, so it's not economically viable to try and get
independent confirmation that it isn't working.

It's the principle of the thing, really.  For something to stop working
after such a short time - but conveniently after the Ebay return period
- just seems wrong.

Thanks anyway.

The user agreement even warned you that "eBay does not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions".

So items here may be poor quality, untruthfully described, unsafe or even illegal. On not even exist - buyers have lost thousands of pounds paying for cars that don't exist!
