Purchased a coin June 28th.
My fault for not checking feedback of seller first but most common complaint was coins were bogus.
I requested a refund.
Refund declined because item has been posted to me. DATE OF POSTING PROVIDED BY THE SELLER
1900-01-01.
No proof of posting.
Clearly Ebay AI recognises any set of numbers as a valid date...how else can you explain this?
Now told to expect the coin any time between now and August 2nd 2025.
How do you get to actually speak to somebody at Ebay?

You haven't received the item, what does the last estimated date for delivery say on the original listing?
One day after that date , you can open a case for item not received.

When you say you requested a refund, do you mean you asked to cancel?
As advised, if the coin doesn't arrive, you can open a case or, if it does arrive and you believe it is not genuine, you need to start a return case.
Even if you speak to Ebay, they won't do anything at this stage,
Sellers have the right to refuse a cancellation request and you can't open any sort of case until either the coin is overdue or it arrives and is fake.

I requested a refund.
You can't just "request a refund" on eBay.
You can ask a seller to cancel a sale, but they dont have to.
Otherwise you have to wait until after he latest estimated delivery date to calim a refund fr non-delivery.
What date was given in the listing? If it was 2nd August, you have to wait until 3rd of August.
Or of ot arrives earlier, and is fake, you can use eBay's money back guarantee.
