Non-payment of goods sold

I am new to ebay so even though I sold my goods 3 weeks ago I have had to :

Wait to be authorised

Wait as I am a new seller

Ebay has attempted my pay-out  3 times and each time it has failed when using a UK bank account - I have NO idea why as any person on the street can transfer money to me

So, since I live in Portugal, I have changed my bank account details to Portugal

They deposited 0.01€ successfully on the 29th of January

But still, no pay out landed in my account and now ONCE AGAIN I have the red alert box saying that they have tried and failed to deposit the money. I have tried to contact them on two email addresses both of which are returned as 'don't reply'. I have no idea what to do. There is no contact and no help to cover my situation. Do you have any ideas? does anyone have an email address or telephone number that works (not automated) I'm really worried about this - it's my first experience with ebay and not one that I would repeat any time soon.

You will need to log out of this UK site,  and log into www.ebay.com to continue.

Then, ask eBay Customer Services here:

Contact eBay Customer Services this way, through their help pages.

https://www.ebay.com/help/home

Lines are open between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. Pacific Time

Thank you, I have done as you have suggested and now I get a red box saying:

Your payment information is not available on international eBay sites. To view and update this information, please go to payments on the GB site (this is a link that I then follow)

... and now get:

We're having trouble confirming your bank details

You must link a bank account that can send and receive funds to get paid for your sales.

They say this EVEN THOUGH they have deposited the 0.01€ successfully in to my account - tearing my hair out here...

Oh wow  with a Portuguese account thought you would need the .com site as I do not think there's a designated Portuguese site.

In which case contact eBay Customer Services here for advice how to proceed here.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

 https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

See if you're successful adding your bank account here:

https://ppcapp.ebay.co.uk/myppc/wallet/list

Use a laptop / PC not the app or mobile brrowser.

Suggestion :-   Perhaps it is time to consider opening an account in a € Eurozone site of choice as using a UK Registered account from Portugal will Default to UK  selling rules on VAT/Import/Export Duty/Taxes and a Managed Payments setup with UK Current account Banking on file in order to send and receive  funds ?.

My bank account IS in Portugal, it's still rejected, as was the account I have in the UK - ebay has the choice of 2 countries - whichever is best for them - neither seems good enough. I have a registered account with .com but it keeps reverting to the UK - stymied 😞

Thank you again - I have clicked the link you suggested for customer service to call me, but again it opens the UK site and they need a UK telephone number which I don't have, when I put in my Portuguese telephone number (complete with code) they say it's not valid. This means I cannot get in touch with them unless there is a number where I can call them? or an email address?

This is such a mess - I seem to be crossed between two domains for some reason - each rejecting the other

Sorry no email  they answer to, or phone numbers for eBay.

I do not understand why with a Portuguese account the .com site and Customer Services there cannot help you.

Your account is not registered in the UK so not sure why you were told to go back  and ask CS here .

the designated site for Portugal is - https://pt.ebay.com/

That is correct, however I think the pt. in front of ebay is more of a filter to see where users come in from as when you start clicking around and going into your eBay it reverts to .com

I have also just noticed that if I open pt.ebay.com it says hello Susan

If I open ebay.com it says hello Susan

And if I open ebay.co.uk it says hello Susan

So all platforms recognise me....

Based/located in Portugal and your recent sale for £2150.00 was made using the UK site, hence the payment difficulty.

Is there a solution that you know of? As I said I have a UK bank account (jersey) which has always been connected to this account so not sure why this was not acceptable...
I have an address in the UK that I can use if it's a simple mis-match problem and also a UK social security number

If you are in Portugal then your account should have no links to the UK at all.  Ot should be registered on the site that covers Portugal and be connected to a Portuguese bank.

It's really nothing to do with ebay uk, or ebay uk customer services,  hence your problems.  And no, I don't have a solution for how to get your funds, sorry, the situation is simply too far from the norm for there to be a process for it.

Jersey ( a self-governing British Crown Dependency ) with its own financial, legal and taxation systems may  be a problem in accepting your current Banking arrangement with eBay.

Can only suggest that you continue to use the links given to contact Customer Services for assistance.
