Supporting how you sell, ship and connect
As we kick off a new month, I want to share some key updates designed to make selling smoother and simpler for private sellers, businesses and the buyer community.
To help private sellers get paid faster, we’ve made updates to when you receive your funds, giving you more clarity and control over how you get paid. We’ve also lowered the Buyer Protection fee to make your lower-priced items more appealing to buyers.
We’re making Simple Delivery even more flexible. It will soon be easier to send heavier parcels, thanks to DHL being added as a new courier option in the coming weeks. This service comes complete with doorstep collection, making it even more convenient to send big and bulky items.
We’ve got more exciting news: eBay Live is open for seller applications, giving business sellers a brand-new way to connect with buyers in real time, showcase your listings and grow your brand presence. If you’re interested in being considered, start your application and register today.
And finally, there’s plenty going on in the wider business seller community. From eBay Open UK to local Seller Meetups happening across the country, there are lots of opportunities to connect with others and share experiences.
As always, thank you for shopping and selling on eBay.

Private sellers can now get paid faster
You’ve told us that it's important to know you’ll get paid shortly after a buyer places an order, and we’ve listened.
From 6 August, if you’re a private seller who meets the required criteria, you’ll automatically start receiving your funds in your eBay balance within 24 hours of the buyer paying, giving you faster access to your earnings. For those who haven't met the criteria, you can track your progress towards getting your funds faster in the Payments tab. The tracker will be available on the eBay website and the latest version of the eBay app.
For private sellers, we’ve also reduced the fixed portion of the Buyer Protection fee from £0.75 to just £0.10, helping to make your lower-priced listings more attractive to buyers. You’ll notice the biggest impact if you sell items under £10.
We’ve also launched a brand-new calculator to use when listing, designed to help you price your items in real-time. Plus, we’ve made it easier to view both the item price and Buyer Protection fee when creating or reviewing offers.
DHL will soon be available with Simple Delivery
We’re working on making it easier for you to send your heavier items, with DHL being added as a new courier option in the coming weeks. This means you’ll soon be able to send parcels weighing up to 30kg (with dimensions up to 120cm x 80cm x 80cm) and still benefit from all the convenience and protections that come with Simple Delivery.
DHL will automatically be selected as the courier for eligible orders. What’s even better, collection happens straight from your doorstep, so you can send large items without making an extra trip.
All of these updates are designed to keep your selling experience as smooth, simple and secure as possible.
