Well it seems I have made a slight error. More haste less speed. A buyer purchased an item from me Saturday night. Royal Mail 2nd class being used. The label had a QR code and the buyer's address and it said it was paid for 2nd class postage. I assumed that the item was going to be scanned somewhere along the process at the sorting office.
Anyway, I used the post box. I see now that i should have taken the itme to the post office.
I did make a very short video of me putting the item in the post box with the label visible.
Still I am worried.
It is not a lot of money, but for me reputation is key. I just wanted to get the item off pronto.
I am hoping that the item gets scanned when it is delivered, but i guess there is no guarantee that would happen as it has the address on it and could just end up going through the letter box without this.
How does EBay know that the item has been delivered otherwise?
