QR Code and posting issues

Sold an item this week.  Buyer paid postage.  Download qr etc and took to parcel shop.  Package not accepted due to invalid qr code.  Took to 3 different parcel shops and same issue.. Evri, spoke to lady in 1 post office and she said I was the 3rd person to have this issue.  Contacted ebay on 4 occasions and they did not resolve.  3rd call agent admitted that they are awae of an ongoing issue with hundreds of Evri qr labels.  They have not advised buyers/sellers of this.  After 4th phone call I purchased my own postage for a different courier just to get package moving.  Hopefully ebay are going to credit me for this postage.  Feel they are not doing enough to resolve this issue with Evri... bit disappointing.....

QR Code and posting issues

This was a major issue about a week ago and it was a Royal Mail problem affecting all parcels , not just eBay's Simple Delivery.  It was solved,  but from your posts and from others coming through,  seems the issue has raised its ugly head again.

 

For the postage you bought add the tracking number manually this way, so your payout won't be held too long:

 

  • Go to "Orders Paid & Dispatched"
  • Click on "View order details"
  • Within the "Postage" section there's a small dropdown arrow next to "Track Package" - click on that.
  • Click on the "Add tracking" option
  • A box will come up with the current tracking number . Delete that and replace it with your tracking.

You may need a laptop / PC and use Chrome that seems to work well with eBay,  to manage the above.

 

For the unused simple Delivery label:

 

  • If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days

 

  • If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
