I've sold a dress but the buyer has said they never received it, so I've had to give them a refund. I've tried contacting ebay, but it's impossible, so I wondered if anyone can advise me what to do next? I've tried contacting evri, which again it seems impossible to get a response

it looks like your items were sold with simple delivery in which case your buyer should have opened a claim for item not received and eBay would refund them and you keep the payment.

Did the buyer open a case and how did you refund them?

They took the money from the amount I had in my money account, I don't seem
to be able to find out what has happened to the item,as I mentioned, it's
been impossible to get intouch will anyone from evri or ebay. I downloaded
the label, then took it to a local shop

You were asked if the buyer had opened a case.

Did you get an email from Ebay saying your buyer had opened a case because they had not got their item?

If the buyer opened a case and you posted using Simple Delivery, Ebay should have refunded.

If they didn't open a case and you refunded based on a message from your buyer, I think you have lost the dress and your money.

So, was there a case?

She did raise a case, then ebay told me I had to refund them. It shouldn't
be so difficult to get a response from ebay, thank you for your help, it's
much appreciated. Yvonne Grannon
