Hello,
I'm guessing this is going to be a wait for ebay to step in but I want to check other peoples experiences.
I sold a coat and it was sent to the buyers pick up location. It was sent with tracking and that shows it was delivered on January 15th with photo proof along with 3 other parcels not mine (one of the parcels has huge writting that clearing shows ARGOS SAINSBURYS and the correct postcode).
The photo shows the label clearly in tact and its in a big colourful bag so very easy to spot.
However on February 5th the buyer has opened a case to say not recieved.
The message says the collection code did not work and the sales assistant could not find the parcel.
As a seller how do I know if a parcel has been collected?
Can only ebay check this?
Since it shows as delivered and I've done everything on my end will ebay step in and close this case and refund us both?
Just seems strange the collection code doesn't work but also couldn't find the parcel?
If the code doesn't work they wouldn't look for the parcel and if they couldn't find the parcel they wouldn't need the code?

Cannot be sure what happened with this code being invalid, but if you have tracking to show delivery to the store, that's where your responsibility ends, you will not have to refund your buyer.
If they have opened a case for item not received, ensure the tracking number showing delivery, is entered.

It is very possible, given the timescale, that the buyer just left it too late to go and get the parcel.
They had 7 days to collect so it seems very odd that they didn't open a case until 5th February.
After 7 days, the store would return the parcel so it wouldn't be there and the collection code perhaps wouldn't work because it was out of date.
So, make sure you have added the tracking to the case. It was delivered, so Ebay should close the case in your favour.
If you put a return address on the parcel, it should come back to you. Then, you can refund your buyer or offer to send it to them again if they pay the postage.

Thank you both!
That's what I was thinking, the claim was 14 days after the cut off date for pick up.
I guess its up to the shop to be on top of clearing out the orders that have not been collected on time and I guess this would be a monthly / quiet day job, because it has not come back to me. If they sent everything back after exactly 7 days it would be back now.
Anyway thank you for your reassurance. Hopefully ebay will close this today.
