No Seller Feedback left for Buyer.

What do you Buyers do when you've left positive Feedback for a Seller but they don't or won't leave Feedback for you? Despite several messages requesting they do so, there's still none left for me and this after a week.

Feedback is a fundamental principle of eBay to give some confidence to both parties of honesty and integrity.

Will eBay contact the Seller if I escalate it to them? Assuming I can find a suitable means,  as I find their site not the best for that sort of thing!

What peeves me is I often get emails from eBay to leave Feedback for items yet to arrive; will they do the same for a recalcitrant Seller, I wonder?

Appreciate any pointers before I try the escalation route.

The feedback system is a voluntary one.

Some sellers leave feedback on receiving feedback from their buyer, some leave it after payment, some leave it in bulk once a month and some don't bother leaving any at all. 

There isn't an escalation route.

Buyer feedback can only be positive, so isn't terribly useful these days.

So, really, Feedback is a nonsense, yet eBay chase me for it often before the goods have arrived implying it's so important.  Clearly not.

I've found an email address for the Seller and just fired one off to him - or her.

Perhaps in future I'll adopt the 'no Feedback left' attitude and see what that brings about from Sellers!

Just so bl**dy annoying when they ignore you.

Yep, sellers receive these bot written / driven ....' Leave Feedback',  messages too.  It's voluntary to leave any, as said,  for both parties.

Ebay reminds buyers/sellers if feedback not left within 60 days.

As said, voluntary, so no one has to leave it.

You don't seem to be a seller, but if you do sell, Never chase buyers buyers for feedback.

Don't leave any and wait for the Seller to enquire?

If it's voluntary not much Sellers or Buyers can do if none left.
Might be my approach from now on. Don't leave any until requested!
