Sending via GSP, I did something silly!

Hi there - I don't know how I stupidly just wrote this person's name and the GSP address on a parcel, as if it was the buyer's home. In the package was literally the item and nothing else.

I know that it was delivered to GSP through Royal Mail tracking, but I'm worried that they will have this strange item with no real identifying features in order for them to send it onward.

Should I be worried, or will they work it out? How can I find out?

It won't just be "sent forward". It will be opened and repacked.

Hopefully if you enclosed any identifying document they may be able to associate it with the correct transaction.

Otherwise, if you're lucky they may just return it to the PO marked "Not known at this address". Providing you wrote your name and address as sender on the parcel you should get it back.

I don't think there's any way to find out about specific parcels, but you could try asking eBay customer service. Otherwise, you can only wait and see.

Ah thanks. I was full of flu and was not concentrating. I did put return address on the envelope, and just the sender's name on the front followed by the GSP address. It appears that I have not put any paperwork inside it because I still have it here! 
I guess if there is a budding Poirot working for them, they could search for me from my address and work out the item, otherwise as you say, hopefully they will return it to me.


I can't seem to get the email address to ask them, the live chat seems useless (although obviously it's the middle of the night as I type this!)
