Promoting and visibility

Hi I’ve promoted a couple of items expecting to see them quite easily on newly listed but no where to be seen and no views. Is there something I can do about it and is promoting actually worth it ?

I used promotion for a time, but found that views and watchers were no different to before and sales were awful.

Free to list and no selling fees is a bit of a con, as that is dead, and promotion seems likewise except that if you have a sale you then pay a fee. Far better the old system, which at least was honest about fees.

Thanks for your reply I’ve just contacted eBay regarding my listings because although I’ve paid for promotion or will pay for promotion I actually can’t find them in the sections I’m looking for and nobody else has found them because I have zero  views
