Ebay Passing Sales Info to HMRC

If EBay have only been required to pass sales info to HMRC from January 2024 then am I right in thinking that if your sales exceed £1,000 then a tax return would be for 5th April 2024-5th April 2025 which isn’t due until January 2026?

The provision of information to HMRC makes no difference to your tax obligations and deadlines for filing returns.
