Faulty goods

Hello I purchased a gas hob about 3 weeks ago,  when the gas fitter came to fit it he wasn’t really happy with the lack of information supplied with the hob, once fitted the item is strewn with faults, won’t stay lit etc, seller don’t seem over bothered with help. (Obviously paid fitter as well)

am I within my wrights to send back without the original packaging? Got to be a law against selling defective gas products, Thanks

Faulty goods

If you are within the 30 day window for the mbg then yes, you may send it back even if you don't have the original packaging.

Unfortunately you can't claim the money you paid your fitter.

If the item is faulty and you received it less than 30 days ago, you can use the Ebay Money Back Guarantee and open a return.

If you bought from a business seller, some sellers can make a deduction from the refund if items are not returned in the same condition, so, you may be penalised for not sending back the original packaging.

You won't be compensated for the payment you made for the item to be fitted.
