Sale refunded by Ebay without consulting seller.

Ebay has notified me that it has refunded my buyer, at no cost to me, but has given me no details about why.  The tracking shows that the package has been delivered and I have not heard from the buyer that there is a problem.  How do I find out why it has been refunded?

ebay does this now if an item is lost or damaged in transit.    The buyer normally has to open a relevant case but it's possible they spoke to customer support who implemented the refund there and then.    You could contact them and see if they have a record of that by requesting a callback on here:

As advised, if you post an item using Simple Delivery, and the buyer reports the item was damaged in transit by opening a case directly with Ebay, then Ebay refund the buyer and tell them to keep the item.

The buyer's payment is still passed on to you.
