Why does the SELLER incur fees when the BUYER cancels an order?

This has happened to me a number of times now... and it just flippin' well happened again.

I'm getting increasingly annoyed about it.

My listings have very accurate discriptions and are very clearly represented with multiple detailed images.

Furthermore I always research the going-rate, so I can offer a very compelling price.

How else can I avoid this reoccurring unfair cost?

Can someone answer this: why does eBay penalise the seller for the buyers wayward indecisiveness.

What is the purpose / benefit / incentive for doing this?
It can’t just be that eBay is greedily snatching money, surely.

When an item sells that is the point when eBay charge their seller fees.

If a buyer wishes to cancel, sending a cancellation request citing Buyer Requests to Cancel then seller fees are refunded.  Any listing fees including optional listing upgrades added,  are non refundable.

eBay need to see that the buyer is requesting the cancellation then seller fees are refunded.

Have a look at the fee credit policy on the site.
