The last couple of items I have listed have done so as ‘buy it now’.  I didn’t select that option and unable to change it to ‘auction’.  The menu choice is ‘greyed’ out, so tapping it doesn’t change anything.  Very puzzling 🤔 

I hope a member can advise.

Have you sent or received any offers?  If you have,  these need to be declined or expire,  before you can switch over to auction.

Or,  are you using the app or mobile browser?  They're limited in  all the features and options you need,  If using,  switch to a laptop / PC and try Chrome,  then on the Seller Hub from your Active listing tick the little box left of the item scroll up to the More Actions tab from there select Change to Auction.

Although you can add a BIN price to an auction item, you can't change a BIN item to auction.

You would have to end the listings and relist (you can use 'sell similar') and sell as auction items rather than BIN.

Just a warning, if using the “switch to auction”, I think what happens is item gets relisted as auction, but the BIN goes to UNSOLDS.

If not careful you could accidently relist and have same item for sale twice. Best to check and delete.

I discovered this some months ago, so may have changed but better to be safe.
