Returning an item to a seller who’s account no longer exists

I purchased some trainers from a seller in which their profile stated that returns are accepted. I then received the product a week later that the estimated delivery date. When the item arrived they are not the fit I wanted and I am not convinced they are the authentic ones. I want to return the items for a refund but when I go on the profile of the seller to contact them it says ‘user no longer exists’

That means their account has been suspended by ebay.   It would not be safe or even possible to return the trainers to them.   You could contact your payment provider and ask about a refund or chargeback.   Or you could resell them yourself but you'd need to check if they're genuine first.
