Hello everyone, I sell maybe 50 items a week. Multiple items from last week have gone missing after being scanned at the drop shop. With the new Simple Delivery system, eBay has refunded the buyers at no cost to me. This is fine but the vintage items I sell are rare and I hate the thought of the parcels just disappearing with no investigation. All missing parcels have stopped tracking after being scanned. Will eBay investigate these parcels or just refund the buyers and move on? I would like the parcels to be found ideally but I can’t investigate or push for that as eBay has the arrangement with Evri. If anyone has any information or experience with this I would be grateful.

eBay just pay out and move on but you can opt out of using Evri here:

This new arrangement of ebay refunding mostly down to incompetence of Evri, I am sure will prove expensive for ebay, so perhaps they will eventually tighten up the system.
Using Royal Mail an undelivered item might eventually find its way back to you or the buyer, but with evri probably just stolen along the way.
