Redoing a label

You will need to cancel the transaction with the buyer's agreement (via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders list) and relist for collection for the buyer to buy again.

Thank you for your reply. I meant collection by Royal Mail rather than by the customer. Sorry to confuse you. Can I cancel the label and redo?

If the buyer has paid for RM postage you can book collection with them separately for a small fee:

https://www.royalmail.com/collection

Redoing a label

So, if I do a new collection postage via RM can I get a refund for the unused delivery label?

I'm not sure you need a different label but if you do and had "free delivery - seller pays" on the listing you can get a refund here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller

If the cost of postage was on the listing that means the buyer paid for the original label they will be automatically refunded  in 30 days.

If you prefer you can arrange with the buyer to cancel and relist for them to buy again, and this time you can arrange RM collection via ebay.

Redoing a label

Thank you for being patient with me. I'm not understanding the process though. When I printed the paid for label I should have looked for the option for a postman to pick it up from my home. I didn't and I now have a label that requires me to take the parcel to the post office. What is the best and cheapest option available to me now please if I cannot take it to the post office and need it to be collected by RM from my home. Thanks

That's OK, it is confusing at the best of times.   I would probably cancel the transaction and relist.    To make sure the buyer chooses Royal Mail (they can't really tell what they're choosing) you can opt out of other couriers here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/prf/simpledelivery

Do that before you relist.

So message the buyer and explain the problem.    Then cancel the transaction via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders list.    Opt out of non-RM couriers and then relist.

Oh, I see what you are saying now. Thank you. That sounds like a good solution. Would you believe I made the same mistake last week but was able to get to a post office in time. I know I can't this week, so I'll contact the buyer and approach it the way you suggested. Thanks for staying with me. Have a good day 😊
