So weird. I had placed multiple items from one seller in my ebay shopping basket. As I went to complete purchase, one of the items was no longer available so I removed it from the invoice, then browsed again through the sellers’ (thousands of!) other items (all vintage blouses), which I had clicked into ‘save for later’, having placed them in my basket then reconsidered. From then on, I repeatedly saw ‘in one other basket’ on items I placed in my basket, then repeatedly as I tried to check out, item listings were flagged up as ‘ended’. I began to feel like I had a stalker and tbh it made me buy way more than I had intended to, just to get my purchase in first! On the final invoice (I had put quite a few items in ‘save to later’), all three of my items had ‘in one other basket’ on, prompting me to buy sharpish! So question. Can any other prospective buyer see when items from a specific seller are in another person’s basket, and target just those items? The way my item choices were suddenly being chosen or snapped up before I could check out seemed a bit spooky! Hope this all makes sense. Any advice appreciated…thanks!

I hasten to add I had not placed ‘thousands of’ the sellers items in my own basket! As it reads above. I just mentioned there were thousands on their site to emphasise how odd it seemed that the ones in my basket seemed to enter some kind of race 😊 I accept if may have been more than one prospective buyer but out of 3.5k items our tastes must have been at one! Unless the seller has people ‘bag’ their items into their own baskets every minute of the day. Am I being a bit…duh? 😁

I think listings show when the item is in someone's basket.
