Reserve price question

I have an item that's  for auction. I have set a reserve price. If someone bids & it matches or exceeds the  reserve price will an automatic sale occur , even if there are several days left to the ending date ?  Are other buyers still able to bid  over the reserve.

Or does the reserve amount automatically trigger a sale & end of auction regardless of the duration that item has been listed for?

Reserve is least you will sell for, auction will still run the duration even if reserve met before the end.

You pay reserve fee whether item sells or not,

if you relist item, you pay fee again.

Better to start listing at minimum you will sell for, saves money on fees.
