Hello friends
I have a company in the UK on eBay and I want to open an account but most of my friends say that as soon as I open an account, it is suspended and the account is closed. Is this true? What is the problem? I have accounts on Amazon and Etsy. What kind of problems are there on eBay?

There's no problem on eBay at all, but you may be prevented from listing an item, because you have not fully or correctly registered with eBay's Managed Payments.
You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified. The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive, and confirm to eBay.
Once this is completed, you will be able to list items for sale, and receive payouts from those sales.
This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

If there is an issue with the registration contact eBay Customer Services, who have full access to your account, and can see where the issue lies and explain the steps you now need to take.
Contact them this way.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

my friends say that as soon as I open an account, it is suspended and the account is closed.
Are they speaking from their own experience?
If so, be careful. If an account has been permanently restricted (barred from selling) eBay will also restrict any other account that is associated with the restricted account. This could explain why your friends' new accounts have ben closed. It could also lead to your account being restricted by association with theirs.
This doesn't necessarily mean that they have used eBay inappropriately. It is enough that a restricted user has registered at the same address, or that both users have used the same connected device. This is something that sellers need to be aware of. For example, we heard from one seller who had his eBay business closed overnight because of the activities of his son an another account in the family home.

How do you sell on eBay? I have second-hand books that are a few years old. Do I need to keep the invoices?

Sorry but that question is too big to answer on this forum which is for quick questions and answers and too vague for the other boards.
Ebay provides a large number of guides to selling on the site, I suggest you spend some time doing your own research.

If you have second hand used books then no, no invoices need to be kept for these, you'd be selling them under a Private seller's account.
If you wish to sell on eBay you do have to register for eBay's Managed Payments, as my post above explains.
Look at other sellers selling the same or similar items to yours. See how they describe, photograph and price their items, to get an idea how to list your items.
Unless your books are rare, there is great competition out there from other major big player book sellers, who are able to price their books for very low prices, and even offering ' Free Postage' too.
Buyers will usually buy the cheapest item on offer when faced with a big choice of items to choose from.
