Buyer not responding

I've sold a "pick-up" item, the buyer respoended initially saying he will collect on friday, saturday etc, until stopped responding completely. It's been over 2 weeks now with no messages.

The listing was promoted so if i cancel the order myself, i have to pay the advertising fees wich are almost 20% of the product's value...

Is there any way of re-listing it without having to cover the fees from the previous listing upfront?

Buyer not responding

Send the buyer a polite message that you are giving them ** days to confirm a date and time for collection otherwise you deem the item to be unwanted,  and will be cancelling the order, which will fully refund them.

If there's no reply,  cancel the order citing ' Buyer Requests to cancel'  This fully refunds the buyer and your seller performance is not affected.

This is eBay's stance on promoted item fees being refunded due to cancellations.

The promotion fee for a cancelled order on eBay  is typically refundable, but the process and timing might vary. If a buyer cancels an order or a refund is issued, eBay generally refunds the ad fee.

It is worth contacting CS to get your fee refunded,  but I strongly recommend only contacting CS very first thing in the morning when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

As said,  I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

It's also worth always to block troublesome buyers from returning to your sales,  block them here:
