Marking item sent not using Simple Delivery

Ahh Simple Delivery - the abortion of  a system designed to make life hard. I had an item that finally sold but was listed way before this Simple Delivery nonsense. I did NOT opt into Simple Delivery yet ebay thinks it can start adding fees. Anyway it selected Evri - who I will never use again, so printed the Royal Mail label and then tried to mark the item as dispatched and to add the tracking number....put simply - I cannot find how to. So although the item has been shipped the idiot ebay system is telling me dispatch is over due. Added that to be derated for slow dispatch on other items (they weren't they were dispatched within a day of orders but Royal Mail delivered them outside the 48 hours)  this is adding up to my now listing all new items with people like Vinted and Facebook marketplace.

Simple Delivery is now mandatory for all Private sellers,  there is no opt in , or out.

Add your new tracking details as shown below,  preferably using a laptop / PC and try Chrome that works well.

• Go to "Orders Paid & Dispatched"
• Click on "View order details"
• Within the "Postage" section there's a small dropdown arrow next to "Track Package" - click on that.
• Click on the "Add tracking" option
• A box will come up with the current tracking number . Delete that and replace it with your tracking.

As the system doesn't think I have dispatched the item its not there. I can find it in awaiting dispatch but it wouldn't allow me to mark it as dispatched ( action not allowed) and trying to click mark as dispatched gets a message ebay servers are down. What a joke ebay has become. I've been delayed despite brong over 3100+ feedback and this will add another false black mark to my account. Midwinter my volumes on ebay are hard down...no other system is so obstructive

Open the original label and that will mark the item as dispatched.    It will still be unused and the cost automatically refunded to the buyer in 30 days.
