Counterfeit

I have a Brita filter jug and only had a couple left so looked on eBay for replacements. Ordered a pack from a person who's advert stating UK shipment in May. I have opened a s tried 2 cartridges and neither filter. Have contacted seller who has apologised and offered a 25% refund. I have contacted Brita to ask about the cartridges purchased and they asked me to send photographs of the the cartridges, packaging, box etc and they have advised that these are counterfeit and that I should get a refund from seller or eBay if seller refuses. I understand I've had these a few months but at no time did I expect them to not work and not be legitimate products. Can't seem to find any way of contacting eBay to help due to time scale and don't think 25% is acceptable as goods not fit for purpose.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry but you are out of time for ebay to help you in any way. Ebay has a 30 day money back guarantee and after that they don't want to know.

You will have to deal with this outside ebay.  Try your bank, or if the seller is a business you can perhaps deal with them on the phone. Their contact details will be on their listings.
