Agreed a Vehicle sale price via Ebay messages, but someone else pressed BIN

Hi there - got a little bit of an issue.

Listed a car with a make offers and buy it now option (I guess I should have made it a classified ad)..

Last week I agreed to a price via Ebay messages, subject to a viewing on 1st June. I left the listing open as it could have come to nothing, and I didn't want to lose another £15 listing fee. Just come back from a weekend away and someone different has pressed "buy it now" - What options are available to me? I would prefer to honour the offer made and accepted by the first "buyer" even though the 2nd buyer "buy it now" price is higher.

The viewing may not go well so I wouldn't risk losing the actual buyer.   See if the Buy It Now buyer can collect and pay before the 1st.    Either one could end up being a timewaster so keep your options open.

you need to honour the BIN sale as you did not have a proper eBay offer.

Thank you for both replies. I have taken your advice. BIN buyer has first chance.

Not seen any listing or completed listing (another account perhaps ?) --- Beware scammers and/or selling via messages (an off eBay sale) unless listing using Classified Ad. category >

Classified Ads. at total fee of £19. 99 will allow the exchange of contact details for viewing and price negotiation over a 30 day period --- set the Start price at or near the price that you would find acceptable --- Avoid inviting Offers which if accepted, may never be completed --- just continue to Negotiate an acceptable selling price and only remove the Ad. when you have a definite buyer with Cash in hand or a  Bank Transfer is safely deposited/confirmed before handing over Vehicle keys/documents on buyer collection.  Payment is not available through checkout and No further FVF selling fee is charged.
