Seller Paid after delivery

This is fraught with problems because it places the responsibility for confirming delivery with a third party, namely the courier.  How many of us have sent items by a tracked service without any confirmation of delivery having been received? How are items sent without tracking going to be confirmed as delivered? What is going to happen to items currently listed for sale without a tracking service? What is the incentive for buyers to confirm receipt of untracked items, and how will this be achieved.

If I read it right, it seems to be a  means of ebay retaining funds for 2 days as funds will only be released 2 days after confirmation of receipt.

As funds when released have to be withdrawn, surely you do not withdraw every penny immediately.

It makes it now exactly the same as when paypal was used, and it was a good idea to have a balance there as now for purchases, fees or refunds if there is the need.

Yep,  those items which are untracked, some low value items may not be worth adding the extra cost of tracking, or those where tracking is not showing delivery,  then payouts will be held for 14 days.

It's far from ideal, and reading the many posts on here, many disliking this change, but disliking it will not change eBay's mind, it's a happening , and it will be here to stay.

I would withdraw funds as soon as possible because I would prefer them to be in my bank earning interest rather than in somebody else's bank earning interest.
