Incorrect Ebay Balance

I've recently sold an item for £23.00. Of this £23.00, £1.57 is Buyer Protection Fee, and £2.57 is the Ad rate I selected. This leaves an overall earning of £18.86.

In my Ebay Balance, I only have £12.94 in my account, and I've not used the £5.92 for any other purpose. Where is this shortfall coming from? Why can't I re-claim this value? Albeit small, it sets an unnerving precedent that this might happen on larger sales in the future.

Any help would be massively appreciated. I've tried the Ebay chat function but it's not working at all. If there's any way of speaking to an actual person that would be preferable.

Thank you in advance!

Incorrect Ebay Balance

Your payments account details all transactions. I cannot see it but you can, so the difference should be shown and you should then know what it is for.

How did you pay for postage or courier. It is not free someone has to pay!

Incorrect Ebay Balance

Thanks, John. Reviewed the transactions and can see the difference is the fees charged on another sale, although that sale hasn't hit my balance yet! Seems a bit deceptive to take fees for a sale that I've not received the balance of yet, but glad to know I've not lost a phantom fiver. Also not clear at all on the iPhone app!

Thank you very much though, sincerely appreciate your support.
