Buyer Returning After 14 Days

Hi a buyer who purchased an item wanted to return the item after having it for 7 days saying it is damaged. Photos provided showing damage that wasn’t on the item when sent out. Therefore item could only have been damaged in transit, unless buyer caused the damage themselves.

should the buyer be contacting the courier about the damage they may have caused, instead of me?

The other thing is the buyer has kept the item more than 14 days before asking for my return address. My return policy for items is to send back within 14 days. Does this count for anything or does the buyer still have the right to return even after sitting on it for over 14 days?

Many thanks.

Your personal return policy is for change of mind returns.    For items not as described, including damage in transit, ebay allow 30 days.

If Simple Delivery was used when they open a case using "arrived damaged" ebay will issue the refund themselves and you keep the payment.
