Not so Simple Delivery

I spent over an hour this morning trying to get a label to send a parcel. Ebay did not take into consideration that the Isle of Wight does not have an Evri outlet. They pulled out a year or two ago after many problems.

Having sold an article, Ebay gives me one choice to send it: Evri. I clicked on the 'Get Prepaid label or QR code' just to get the buyer's address, not thinking that there would be no chance to confirm or otherwise and that Ebay would just take my money. Ebay say that the label may be cancelled, but no. Following instructions, I ended up with "This postage label can't be cancelled". Why not? I cannot use it without catching a very expensive ferry to the mainland.

I will not be selling on Ebay again and there will be many other IW residents who will be  avoiding the platform as soon as they realise what is happening. Is there anywhere else that is miles from an Evri outlet?

Try cancelling the label from here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller

Or if not used it may be refunded anyway in 30 days.

It does seem odd that Evri will deliver to IOW , but not collect there.

I have seen their lorries on the ferry.

As said, stick to RM.

Yes, they do deliver to the Island. However, only Yodel have 'drop off' locations and very good they are too, although RM are frequently cheaper.
