Ebay is effectively for profit at any cost, i am closing my account after 20 years as ebay basically theives are selling fake software login. Bought Hayes Pro login 12 months, found to be non functioning with Launch fix as hacked. Asked for refund refused and nothing seller top-discount-paris has removed listing as something to hide i guess. Ebay no refund even though selling fraudulent software for profit apparently ebay are above the law. I have contacted Haynes Pro to let them know they are investigating, see how a corporate lawyer deals with eBay.
UPDATE as of 26th June ebay have restricted my account so ironic. P.S. all adds removed from ebay re haynes pro today and ebay customer service not calling me back emails say unable to contact you how convenient **bleep** missed calls. AI run **bleep** customer service farse.

Buying software from an online seller is always going to be fraught with potential issues, which is why most isn't allowed to be sold on eBay. I'd be worried about it containing some bugs.
If you paid with a debit or credit card you have 120 days to issue a chargeback via your card provider, but it does sound like you're past that timeframe now.
Good that Haynes are investigating, but eBay is just a selling platform, it's the seller who is responsible for the listing.

Ebay make a profit from fraudulent fake and counterfeit products therfore responsible as a joint venture. This is ileagle in the uk they need to be held responsible for criminal activity and receiving proceeds of crime. They are very imoral and profit without consense, no customer service just AI *bleep*. Ebay customer service is lowest of the low nil support no call back just lies no missed calls and money back guarantee is a lie.

as already answered on one of your numerous threads about this -
Looking at the neg you left, it seems that you purchased a code/licence sent digitally [by Email] and eBay don't cover that as it's not allowed to be sold.
If you paid by PayPal you could contact them as they cover some digitally delivered items.
