item was found in hedge by someone who just happened to know my daughter, item is still showing as not delivered,  have contacted seller, but don't know what further to do anyone had experience

I assume it was intended for your daughter and the item is OK?   You can't do anything about the delivery status.  The seller will still receive the payment.

no you misunderstand, the item was for me,it was found in a hedge about a
mile away, someone took a photo and a friend of my daughter contacted her
as she recognised the address, it was pure luck that i got the parcel i
just feel that the service should be held responsible

As @**peaseblossom**  has advised, you can't do anything. Message your seller to advise him and then it will be up to him to follow up if he wants to,

It's hard to know for sure what happened.   The courier may have left it in a "safe" place and someone could have taken it and then thrown it away.

don't think as "out for delivery" is ticked but the "delivered" is not
ticked
on the track parcel information
