No Parcel, but no refund

I purchased a paper shredder for my work on the 15th of September 2024 and it did not arrive well over the date it was supposed to ,so asked the seller if they knew. Communication from the seller was very difficult as in trying to get any information from them. Eventually told me there had been some attempts at delivering my parcel to which I told them that no attempt had been made as I was here every single time and even waited at even the Pacific time also that I work from home so I'm always here and also someone else here anyway, also have cameras on the property and rewind these to see if anybody had come and no one had . I was also told there was a card left at the attempt of the parcel being left to. I told them that no card had been left either. This is when I asked if they had put the correct address on the parcel, which I never got an answer from. After sometime me asking what was going on and saying that the communication was ridiculous .Then aWeb chat picture was sent to me from the seller, but with no other information on it so I don't know what they said to them in the web chat as did not have any information back from that ,also but then the seller did tell me that they were asking For a refund from the company that sent the parcel as I had asked the seller for a refund at this point . Then after giving such a long time I asked if there are any update on the refund as it would take some time still no communication back from the seller to which I said  again how ridiculous the communication was and that I will have no option but to contact eBay. As I had paid the seller for the product, plus I had also paid for the postage on top for the parcel to be delivered to me. I asked solutions about the postage and because it can be seen quite clearly paid by me that Service was paid by me. So when I contacted eBay they got back to me on the 31st of September and said I would not be receiving any refund no explanation and I have  paid for a product and postage that I've not received and  is stopping me from buying anything else on eBay ,also other people now too ,as I could pay for items and even though not down to my fault if I didn't receive them then I would lose my money . I have bought from eBay for years and I've never had this problem and other companies seem to deliver just fine to this address which I have lived in since 1984. I just do not understand how I didn't receive a refund

Hiw did you go about getting a refund?

 

Did you open a not received case, if so unless seller had tracking proving delivery, you would win.

 

In any case you are now well out of time, and without knowing why ebay closed the case, if you opened one, I can only suggest contacting your payment provider.

What does the tracking say? The tracking number should be on the transaction on your orders page.

If it says delivered or attempted delivery you won't be entitled to a refund,.

 

Ebay only covers buyers for 30 days from delivery so unfortunately you are out of time now to claim a refund even if the tracking shows not delivered.

 

If you bought using Paypal you could try a claim with them, alternatively try your payment provider.

The tracking number set out for delivery and when it would be delivered and I waited and nothing came and then it would say delivery attempted but nothing ever came here which is why I asked the seller if he had put the correct address on the parcel. As nothing was even attempted delivery at the address, even though it was said so

If the tracking showed 'attempted delivery', the seller would win the case and would not have to refund you.

As advised, get in touch with your payment provider and you should be able to open a chargeback on the grounds that you bought an item but did not receive it.

But even though there was visibly not parcel attempt at my address just what I was told ,which was why I asked if the same had put incorrect address on parcel

I understand that.

However, you are not going to get anywhere with Ebay.

You can try the courier and see if they will confirm where the attempted delivery was or, as repeatedly suggested, you can try your payment provider for a refund.
